Come and join the celebration at this year’s 5th Annual "Wings over Water" Northwest Birding Festival, March 31st, 2007, in one of the Pacific Northwest's premier bird viewing areas. Originally known as the Washington Brant Festival, this year’s festival takes on a new look and a new name focusing on the thousands of brant geese and other birds that visit these pristine shores on their annual migration. Events include viewing stations, seminars and exhibits, live raptor displays, walking field trips of Semiahmoo Spit and Blaine’s Marine Park.

About the Festival...
The festival will be headquartered this year in downtown Blaine. This festival will feature Kid's activities and games. Door Prizes, seminars and bird watching tours of Birch Bay, Drayton Harbor and Blaine Marine Park. Downtown Blaine along Peace Portal between H & G Streets will have a street fair of local merchants, arts & crafts, informative exhibits and more. Blaine Marine Park will have 2 duck carving exhibits, Plover Ferry Wildlife cruises and more!

DOWNTOWN BLAINE (Between G & H Street on Peace Portal)
Friday Night, March 30th: Wine Tasting at Northern Meadows Specialty Gifts & Wine
- 684 Peace Portal from 6 PM to 9 PM. Washington Brant Foundation will raffle off a door prize.

WOW Migratory Maze - For kid's of all ages. Pick up your Migratory Maze Passport at the WOW Info Tent in Blaine Marine Park and follow the maze. Get your passport stamped at all the locations on the map and return your passport to the WOW Info Tent to be part of great raffle prizes to be given away at 4 PM in the WOW Info Tent. Must be present to win.

WOW Bucks! - Pick up your WOW Bucks at the WOW Info Tent in Blaine Marine Park and redeem them at local merchants listed on the reverse side.

WOW Info Tent:
Place to get your WOW Bucks, Migratory Maze Passport, purchase tickets for Plover Nature Cruises, Lake Terrell Boat Excursion Trips, Board Bus for trips to Semiahmoo Spit and Birch Bay State Park birding stations, and get WOW list of activities/events.

Walking field Trips: Blaine Marine Park

Van Trips to Lake Terrell for boat excursions viewing birds in fresh water habitats at the wildlife area. Vans will be leaving from the WOW Info Tent at Blaine Marine Park. Limitations do apply, so please call to make reservations at (360) 466-4749. Cost $5/pp donation

Wildlife Cruises: The historic Plover ferry will be passengers on a nature cruise of Drayton Harbor and Semiahmoo Bay. Purchase your tickets at the WOW Info Tent in Blaine Marine Park
Cost: $5/pp, rt
Saturday: 10 AM to 4 PM.

Tennant Lake: Owls And Owl Pellets (K-6) – Great Horned Owls, Screech Owls, and Barn Owls are common residents of Tennant Lake. Participants will, examine owl feathers, owl skulls and listen to recordings to help illustrate the incredible adaptations of these nighttime hunters. Participants will also dissect and analyze owl pellets in order to understand the complex relationship between predator and prey.

Exhibits: various exhibitors will be on hand.
