Point
Roberts is completely unconnected to the United States. Formed in
1846, it established the 49th parallel in the Treaty of Washington.
To get to Point Roberts, one must cross the U.S.-Canadian border
in Blaine, and go west to Tsawwassen, British Columbia, and across
the border back into the United States.
Point Roberts,
part of Whatcom County, Washington, is a great place to relax, enjoy
the beaches and go boating. A popular place to spend the day is
Maple Beach known for its warm shallow water, it's a great place
to beachcomb, dig clams, fly kites and build sandcastles.

The park offers two boat ramps, camping and picnic area with snack
bar. With a raised boardwalk and thirty-foot viewing tower providing
sweeping views of Georgia Strait and migrating whales.
