 Bellingham
International Airport (BLI) is Whatcom County's full service airport
for general and commercial aviation needs.
BLI is 39 minutes by air to SeaTac Airport and 40 miles south of
Vancouver, British Columbia. Accommodating over 250,000 passengers
each year, amenities at the airport include: rental car service,
a gift shop and duty free shop. BLI is an excellent stop-over while
sightseeing in the San Juan Islands, Victoria, B.C., or the Canadian
Gulf Islands. The airport offers 6,700 ft. all-weather approach,
control tower, airport rescue fire fighting service, on-site fuelingas
well as flight school, charters, and pilot supplies.
The
airport also features a foreign trade zone, customs brokerage,
U.S. Customs international terminal, aircraft maintenance and air
cargo services.
